Dave Ekern was appointed Chief Product Officer in March 2020, having previously held the roles of Vice President of Operations, Vice President of Product Development/Engineering and Director of Engineering. A 20+ year veteran of product development in both the marine and automotive industries, Mr. Ekern is the holder of numerous patents and has led the team responsible for winning 5 NMMA Innovation awards since 2014. Prior to joining MasterCraft Boat Holdings, Inc. in 2008, Mr. Ekern held increasingly senior roles at Sea Ray, Brunswick Corporation and Johnson Controls in many diverse fields, including engineering, program management, product management, finance, and purchasing. Mr. Ekern holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, an M.S. in Mechanics from Michigan State University and an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
